Both Alan and Duncan are available at any time to take calls, info or give advice of how to get your club news and teams into the Journal, Chronicle and Sunday Sun. Bear in mind any story that is written well with good photographs has a great chance of being used. Always copy any story of pics (sent by email) to both Alan and Duncan and to their respective desks - better double up in case someone is away or on holiday!

Alan has a dedicated two pages for club rugby on Tuesdays, so anything that happens on the Saturday during a match that may make a story he needs to know about it by Monday morning at the latest and preferably on Sunday. You can send him copy or ring him any time. Teams news and teams which appears on Fridays must be with him by Thursday lunchtime at the latest and preferably by email or fax or on the freephone number to copy. Team
news for Duncan and EC must reach him on Wednesday.

The style for teams is as follows:

ACKLAM (home Hartlepool): S Duffy, G Widdowson, N Issa, etc, etc...
Note there are no points/full stops after initials and the name of the team is in capitals. Also any info about team changes, debuts etc is good and please include first names in that.

Match reports straight after the match to the Sunday Sun on 0500 590 711 which is the freephone copy number. No more than six paragraphs in a report please. Anything out of the ordinary ring Alan on Sunday morning.
